Friendship week!

Last week was Friendship week; the children enjoyed participating in lots of activities to celebrate.
On Monday they made a recipe for 'Friendship soup'; with the help of our class puppet Louis the Lemur the children came up with lots of ingredients that would make a good friend when mixed together. We used some of their responses to make a lovely display.

We read the story The Tiger Who Came To Tea and decided to invite our Teddy's for tea. The children practised writing and wrote an invitation for their Teddy bear.

We read the story Sharing a Shell by Julia Donaldson and had some great discussions about the different things we can do to be a good friend.

All week we have been encouraging the children to work together and help each other. They were able to put this into practise when working in pairs to make hand print paintings.
Tiffany and David helped each other.

Fionn and Harry W worked really well together.

Tobias and Harry J made a great team.

To end our lovely week the children brought in their Teddy Bear' for the picnic, everyone helped to make sandwiches which we enjoyed together. Some of the children decided to draw a picture of their Teddy.

This week the children will be learning all about animals that hibernate.
